Within the past few weeks, Alice has finally really noticed the gata, Jill.
And she is so interested.
She smiles and squeals when she sees her. She reaches out.
The cat’s response to Alice, meanwhile, falls somewhere between indifference and fear. Which, I think, is a healthy place for it. And, frankly, well founded on the cat’s part. Alice’s brand of affection isn’t what you would call tender. I really can’t imagine any good coming from any kind of physical interaction between the two of them. Not for a while.
They are allowed only supervised visits.
Alice admires from afar.
Here she is, yelling and laughing at the gata. And here is the gata trying to ignore her.
Before getting the heck out of there as quickly as possible.
Too close, Alice!
